The all powerful Hardukai Empire had swept through from the East, shattering the reign of the old Kingdom of Arkonia. It was now little more than a vassal state, subject to the rule and whims of new masters.

Few remembered the catastrophic battle where it had all gone wrong. Their greatest hero, Rezak Al-Brega, had been betrayed and mortally wounded. Spirited away to Lyfanya, the mysterious sacred mountain, he had never been heard from again. Still, it was prophesied that one day Rezak would return.
